Carol Burnett filed a lawsuit. Six weeks ago the Fox cartoon Family Guy had made a mean joke about the 74-year-old comedienne, saying she was now the cleaning woman at an adult bookstore.

But the resolution of that case was just announced. A judge ruled that parodies are protected by the first amendment-- while he "fully appreciates how distasteful and offensive the segment is to Ms. Burnett." And he pointed out that of all people, Carol Burnett should know something about parodies.

The outrageous scene included only four seconds of Carol Burnett -- but the entire episode was about adult bookstores. Peter attempts to write his own erotic novels -- and ironically...he ends up in a lawsuit of his own!
